An innovative and efficient overall energy concept was developed for the " MeerZeiten" hotel. This sustainably reduces the consumption of fossil resources and is a step towards a cleaner future.
Ecologically degradable cleaning agents and waste avoidance are very important to us.
As a new hotel on the East Frisian North Sea, we see it as our duty to play an exemplary role in environmental protection. We kindly ask our guests to actively support us with our in-house campaign "ÖKO?LOGISCH!" (room cleaning).

For example, our hotel has cribs, baby monitors, high chairs, children's tableware, coloring materials, books and board games, rocking animals and a large Smart TV in the gallery. The gallery is also the ideal place to paint, read and have a fun play day with the children in the hotel.
In the inner courtyard of the hotel " MeerZeiten" there is a children's playhouse, toys and sliding vehicles so that there is always something to do. For a small fee, you can also borrow one of our handcarts and make wonderful trips to the surrounding area and the beach.

The hotel "MeerZeiten" is 100% barrier-free: We offer 4 completely handicapped accessible rooms certified according to DIN 18040. These have the necessary equipment.
We also have 2 elevators of sufficient size and 4 disabled parking spaces. The public areas in the hotel are of course also completely barrier-free.

The Nordseetherme spa and outdoor seawater pool are wellness centers and offer fun and relaxation for young and old alike. Leisure activities include the beach adventure playground, beach volleyball courts, soccer pitches and tennis courts, and the "Watten-Eye " Ferris wheel - almost everything is located directly between the harbor and the beach. Cyclists can look forward to a network of over 200 km of cycle paths, which are part of the international North Sea cycle path system. Numerous excursion destinations in the surrounding area guarantee a wonderfully varied vacation in East Frisia directly on the North Sea.
An idyllic small town with a picturesque city center.
Esens is located in the middle of the vast East Frisian countryside with lots of nature, old churches, mills and healthy air. The town belongs to the East Frisian district of Wittmund. It is only a short drive of around 5 kilometers to the North Sea and Bensersiel . Esens has just under 7,000 inhabitants today.
The former chieftain's town has developed into a pretty, colorful and lively shopping town that invites you to store, stroll and linger. A visit to Esens from the Hotel " MeerZeiten" is perfect as a day trip (even in bad weather) for the whole family. There is also a picturesque cycle path between Bensersiel and Esens.
Around the Hotel Meerzeiten
The beach at Bensersiel is approx. 750m away. Here you and your family can enjoy a large playground, an outdoor pool with slide and lots of fine sand. The view of the North Sea with the East Frisian islands, especially Langeoog, is phenomenal.
Alternatively, you can also enjoy the beach feeling on our terrace.
There are two charging stations for your electric car in the parking lot. You can charge your e-bike in the bike shed. We would ask you not to charge the batteries in your room.
